Varun is a Picture Editor based in Toronto. He has 7 years of experience as an Editor across various formats in 3 countries. Varun has also worked as an Assistant Editor on top tier TV Shows in Canada. His latest project as an Editor is a 7 part Short Documentary Series called 'Bags To Riches' which highlights the stories of 7 notable immigrant entrepreneurs in Canada. Over his career as an Editor, Varun has worked on Documentaries, Scripted Shorts, Digital Promos & Branded Content for major studios in India as well as in Los Angeles. 
Varun moved to Toronto in 2019 and has since worked with some prominent companies such as National Film Board of Canada, Scott Brother's Entertainment, Uninterrupted Canada, Good Karma Company, Aircraft Pictures, Thunderbird Entertainment, Northwood Entertainment etc. Varun has been a mentee of the Canadian Cinema Editor's Mentorship Program and is a member of the Directors Guild of Canada as a Picture Editor. 
Varun holds an MFA in Film Production degree with an emphasis in Editing from a top US Film school - Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in California. Varun is driven by both the art as well as the technology that constitutes the domain of Post-Production. He revels in the process of storytelling, be it as an Editor or an Assistant Editor.
